What are the differences between a diesel non a/c vs. a/c? Is it just the cradle? If so, My cradle is great. Finding a usable diesel core is impossible. Worst case, Can a gasser core work? Need to find something soon.

What I got from that is the only difference is the ac mounting tabs and cradle size. Could I just use a 460 core and radiator instead?

I don't know where the water knecks are on a 460. I'm sure the hoses would not work. If you don't plan on working it hard, it might be okay. Not sure about fan shroud sizes and fans either. Might be clearance problems. I couldn't tell you.

Diesels shed a lot of heat.

I need new rad hoses anyway so thats not a problem. Can't say she wont work hard because I don't know. Diesels by nature are cold hearted and using a radiator for an engine 40 cubes larger can't hurt. I may get curious enough and pi55 off the kids at oriellys and have them pull one to look at a 460 to compare it to mine.

460 radiator has much less surface area and capacity. Think you are gonna find it's gonna run hot because the coolant is going to spend less time in the radiator to shed some heat.

I posted a repair kit that just hit the market a while back. I don't know where that thread is but I cut mine apart to fix it. Yes, you can cut it apart and weld it back together. It's not too hard. Drill out the spot welds and peel it apart.

Saw that. Kinda pricey for some sheet metal a guy cut and re-welded in his garage. Or so it looks. For the money, I'm sure a oem can be found. Just did another search on a part finder site and it said there are quite a few close and I found a truck with a cab also....We'll see. But I'm not keeping my hopes up.
