Alright so yesterday i installed fiberglass front fenders on my 92 7.3 idi. Had to remove the fender and make a new brace and support... This morning i go to start her up and no crank...Sometimes i have issues with the clutch safety switch so i played with that but nothing so i end up jumping the starter solenoid and get her going. i run some errands and left her running so i didnt have to battle the issue unit later, on way my to work i notice im charging high like 18+ while driving and in the high normal range while idling. Could i have disconnected something or maybe just touching the regulator killer it??......HELP!! Hoping i can fix this on lunch.

Thanks Casey

Check the F "field" terminal on the Alt. if it has battery voltage on it then the Alt will have full output.

I figured out the charging issue... when i removed the fender i didn't ground the regulator properly. Bolted that bad boy to my new fender brace and back in business.

Nothing like an easy fix. Sometimes its simple and sometimes hell is waiting for you when you lift the hood.
