these are some pictures of my setup and the belt it is using. I can tell you that the belt seems almost too short, and barely goes on.

Idioit, I don't see the idler pulley below the tensioner, do you just not have it installed yet?

that was the best picture I could muster at the time.
yea I was waiting on my idler, ps and vacuum pulleys.
bought them all bran new, I don't like issues. lol

I have a new oem tensioner w/o the shock listed in the marketplace.
For the record I never had an issue with the serp setup on my 94, other than a squeaking belt that was fixed with an OE tensioner and premium belt. I like to save money as much as everyone else and theres a time and place for it, but these junk parts we get from china are the issue 99% of the time there is a failure for no good reason. If you want your truck to last use OEM parts.

Also belt squeaks can go away with a nice continental /Goodyear Gator back belt. I run them on everything. I've had water pumps pouring on them without a peep

Nobody here sells them.

Btw the tensioners AutoZone sells are made in USA by the person supplier

I wager that the shock probably helps with the bounce from the AC compressor.

I carry a spare serp belt with me. I've become good at relacing it =)
