It has been a while, but I was ordering a 203 degree thermostat for my dad's 97 Powerstroke when I came upon this: http://www.dieselsite.com/69l73lfordiditurbosystem.aspx I am a huge fan of Garrett and thought this would be awesome setup on my 94 IDI. triple axle IDI F450
That's my buddies old truck. That ZF-5 will need to be rebuilt stat. It had problems when he had it. It used to be a steel hauling rig. It sat for about 8 years and had a ton of back taxes so he had to junk it.- wils2527

Hey Heath thank you for the quick response. Coolant test strips in hand. Will check ZF5 reverse. I agree with the $3k starting point that seems to be way more my speed anyways. The interior doesn't matter all that much to me to be completly honest my kids will just destroy it anyways.- wils2527

P0344, P0478, P0470, P1661 What to do.
I would have to agree 100% with OLDBULL8 try with the cheap and easy and clean the EBP tube clean. You can use some weed whacker line and brake clean to get all the soot out of the tube assembly. Just hope that P1661 code goes away at some point during this.- wils2527

Hate to be a +2 but I have had 2 starters malfunctioning and they told me that they were good. Sometimes the tests at the auto parts stores aren't the best. Have you replaced the wire yet? Also is the truck an automatic or a manual? Curiosity kills, but I had the starter solenoid partially...- wils2527
