GETRAG 5-SPEED
When I had mine redone the total bill came to $1500, but that included R&R and a SB Con-O clutch. Do not run thick oil! The Getrag is assembled with preload on the bearings, not clearance. GETRAG OIL THROUGH THE TOP
If you have a 2wd it's easiest to put a street elbow in the fill hole. Then you can put a small funnel in the elbow and pour the stuff right in. :)- wannadiesel

Gotta put a new o-ring on the pin that comes through the side. I think the pump top has to come off, so you might as well put in a 3200 RPM governor spring while you're in there. Getrag trans and cummins questions
I have 5 quarts of Redline MTL in mine. It really improved the cold weather shifting. I've read that it can will the oil temp in a hard working gearbox, so if you tow heavy stick with the Mobil 1 5W-30.- wannadiesel

two problems
Hi Beau- First one's easy. Take a 10mm combination wrench you don't care about and bend the box end 90 degrees.
