If you don't have plastic around striker pin you need a new striker. Just replaced mine problem solved after year of clunking. Advance or autozone have them $8.99 here the part no. http://www.dormanproducts.com/p-6999-38448.aspx
You can remove the engine with the TC still bolted to flywheel I just did it a couple months ago. My engine was seized and I couldn't rotate it to unbolt TC. Just make sure the oil filter is off, thats what held me up for a few minutes.
Picked up from garage had it timed seems to run ok. Said he had to advance pump about .060 which I can tell from the mark I made prior to dropping off. Replaced passenger mirror. Took off windsheild molding and resealed windsheild. Hopefully no more leaky. Then I can get the stinky carpet out...

I did adjust my timing today and put the front bumper back on. Oh and gave her a bath for the 1st time all year. Sure is nice to drive her again.
Put new batteries in and a new posi cable. Facet fuel pump. Fired it up for 1st time with new to me motor and took it for a spin to go vote. No leaks ;Sweet

Been a while since I posted here but time has come. I'm going to be pulling the motor on my F250 and was wondering if there are any tech articles tips with the best / easiest ways to yank and install its replacement in this bad boy. Searching didn't seem to come up with anything specific...
Thanks for the reply's thats the kind of info I needed. On the serpentine set up I'm more concerned about the harmonic balance r I figured the rest of the things will bolt right up.
