Fish tank heaters will not do the trick.. u want that oil to heat as fast as you can to use less diesel.. I run coolant in the tank through copper pipping. as long as truck is running i have a heated oil tank all the time.. im in fl so in the summer it heats very fast. winter in keep it...- sorsita

drove into dealer to have tire rotation and i was low on fuel light just came on. they said it ran out of fuel and they put 5 gal in. fuel gauge was almost to 1/4 after the 5 gal. tell me i had plenty of fuel before the added 5 galcookoo.. now truck will not start and no fuel is going into the...- sorsita

i run my heater lines from the radiator. copper line in the tank in a loop however i think 4 lines in the tanks will do better. plant drive has a small inline heater that heats up the oil in seconds right before the injectors..im using 100% oil...im prior post i also mentioned i have the loop...- sorsita

bleed, i have been doing this awhile, i use a centrifuge filter from diesel craft which cleans the oil down to 1 micron.. 2 passes in a 55 gal in one hour but i let it filter about 5 hrs to make sure its real clean.. purchased my heated tank form American tank.. 65 gal but it needs two more...- sorsita

u2slow.... i use a diesel craft opus 50 centrifuge, i have the complete set up cost..2,000k it cleans 105 gallons in 1 hr down to 1 micron. i let it filter for about 4-6 hrs depending how dirty it is. mudxtc.....u want to heat it to thin it like diesel when it goes in injectors, i read above my...- sorsita

i changed filter and the truck has ran fine the last two weeks.. no codes at all on the edge display...guess i just have to change fuel filter out more frequently when i do burn oil..- sorsita

What is the Best 7.3?
i have 2003.. getting as high as 23mpg on diesel or wmo... 19-21 in the city...14-18 under load.. i love it... dont like the shift kit with the Edge however the tranny was upgraded when i bought it with 90k yr ago now i have 150k still going strong and looks good too..- sorsita

heated aux tank
I run wmo straight oil.. at time i will add diesel to it to thin it out and help heat faster..im looking into larger injectors, i tend to get oil build up on the injectors and this causes the truck to smoke a grayish color.. when i mash the pedal it clears the tips off.. so i was wondering it...- sorsita

sorry one more thing i just got back my oil analysis and it does show high traces of additives from the oil being used as fuel so after 45k on my oil i changed it out and filter. will run it a few thousand then send another to compare.. overall i would not do anything different- sorsita

heated aux tank
been using my heated tank now for a few months.. its 65 gallons and is heated from the trucks coolant. runs great my question is after running 400 miles on the tank when i switch over and use stock tank after going through a full 35 gallons in stock tank im still blowing smoke out the back...- sorsita

fuel pressure gauge readings
