same here I am gonna pull the engine as soon as I find something to do it with, Harbor Freight has the sweet folding engine hoists for like $150, but that may have been a Christmas sale deal going on. yeah I have my reasons for using the ford frame instead of the half ton suburban frame. I almost ditched the tractor one day cause the burban started dancing all over the road at 45mph. The burban frame itself is not rusted too bad but the supports for the body and the body mounts themselves...- snoredog

yes I had considered swapping the running gear into the suburban when i got the truck a while back, but it would take too much money to make it do what the F250 will do. I know for sure the wheelbase is long enough, if not too long. I got thinking about leaving the body length like it is and doing some major mods to the fenderwells. BROKEN LIFTER
I am kinda in the same boat only I may not get off quite as easy. Last oil change I pulled a BB sized chunk of metal off the magnetic oil plug. Found another one when i drained the oil to pull the engine apart. Both were buried in metal shavings. I just hope those shavings didn't get into the...- snoredog
