I think the gearing has a lot to do with it. I'm running 3.54's. As it doesn't have as much lag in OD off as it does with OD on.
The problem that I will face is the fabrication of the pipes, or the cost. That's what's keeping me from doing that. Plus the stock turbo does its job and works fine.
True, but with a smaller initial turbo, that would decrease lag, right? And twins should decrease drive pressure which would decrease temps. That would be two plus's. This is just from reading. Of course a decent sized VGT would work as well. :D
I'm just sick of the lag. I'm wasting a lot of...
Good, but will it work long term? That's what i'm curious about. What can you hold for boost for long term too? Of course just going down the highway maintaining speed you aren't going to see a large amount, but who knows what it could be with a smaller small turbo. Another thing to think about...
keep me tuned!!
I just don't like lag. I love running the MF 750 with the 6.354T engine because there is no lag, the DPA puts out plenty of fuel (more than the engine can burn), and you can hear turbo whistle just speeding the engine up or playing with the throttle. I think that would be...
Well, Perkins put them on their older turbocharged engines. I think they're not a very big turbo.
I think i've checked that link before when doing a search. Seems to be the only link that a search engine will find related to that.
As far as power, I don't know. I do know that lag would be...
Good!
I was debating on going that route, but i'm afraid the air still might get hot even with it. I emailed Holset about a 3LD and they said that they couldn't give me any info on it since they didn't make it anymore. I'm looking into something that size and just wanted to see what other...
;Poke Well, it probably has nothing to do with performance.
I just wanted to see what others had to get an idea for myself. I have nothing yet, just thoughts.
Thanks Mark!
I'm not real up on the hybrids so I was confused. :)
Yeah if it would be too big for you, probably for me as well. :D
I'm actually thinking about going the other way. :Sly LOL
I hear ya......got the power but can't use it. 375 HP is a good number. :cool
I was thinking about a hybrid, but now i've got a new idea. Probably something no one else would want, but I think it would be neat (from experience). I just want to hear other people's opinions. Anyone using any...
