Return Lines Leaking
My local diesel guy told me to take the hard lines completely off the injectors (not just crack them to see if fuel is coming out) and have some one crank the motor over and watch to see if any of the injectors are spewing fuel out the top of the injector. i.e. the injector is stuck and wont...- Mr_B

Return Lines Leaking
The tank i was on had about 3/4 when it died on the interstate. I've tried to bleed any air from the filter to the injectors and I get fuel coming out at each point I crack open. however, I'm not sure I understand how having air on that side of the fuel supply will pressure up the return lines...- Mr_B

First I just want to thank you guys for helping me with the information about getting my truck running again. ;Sweet Really helps to know those torque numbers and proper procedure. Anyways, it only turned out that one glow plug came out with out the tip so I didn't pull the other head...- Mr_B

That doesn't make much since to me... cookoo I haven't changed the push rod length or the rocker arm ratio so as long as the motor was built correctly the first time the valves should never hit the pistons weither or not the lifters are pumped up or not. 4" exhaust kits
Are you guys leaving the Y portion of the exhaust along and just connecting the 4" after that once it comes down and lines up to the rear? If so wouldn't that leave a bit if 3" exhaust to go through for the drivers side? I had thought of cutting the Y out and going from 3" to 4" almost...- Mr_B

Glow plug tip broke
Thank you guys so much!!! That relieved me of a lot of stress. Yes, I have to pull the head on at least one side so while I'm at it I figured I would do the other as well. Once I pull the injection pump and eventually put it back on, am I going to need to have re-timed? I have no intention...- Mr_B

So I have done quite a bit of research about removing the heads and how its a wise thing to get studs when you put back together and when you take the heads off you want to only go in 1/4 turn increments in SEQUENCE but time and time again I see that sequence thing mentioned for the bolts but no...- Mr_B

Glow plug tip broke
So I started to pull out the old plugs and most were ok, but of course one came out with out a tip :mad: I suppose that means I need to pull the head? I haven't started it yet and don't intend too. Any suggestions? i.e. what kind of head gaskets and while I'm at it what else might be worth...- Mr_B

I've called several different places and they don't seem to know the answer and I have looked through the forums search and I can't find the answer either. Are beru and "motocraft" plugs the same thing? I called my local auto parts place and they have "original equipment" "motocraft" glow...- Mr_B

I know everyone says to get beru plugs instead of champion or autolite and other and I know the reasons, my question is were do you get the beru glow plugs? Is that a stealership only item?:dunno- Mr_B
