possible but it might not be grabing that hard could be dragging. Is your model a fully mechanical brake? might be able to deadjust it all the way and see if it still gets hot. could be, kinda makes sense if that brake is holding then the wheel motor is working double to spin that side. ugh I dont envy you at all sorry man. guess its time for rebuild
well noticed water in oil 2 days ago. Rebuild oil cooler and shimed up oil regulator new fluids and it was great till this afternoon. Checked cap prior to leaving work grey **** all inside rad was low so left and babied it home. Just prior to geting to the house oil pressure plumited and...- kg4tnp

not in that area but the fleet I maintain has 3 of those cummins in it. Sounds like youre dead on the money we had 2 that lost the lift pumps and had the same running condition. The other one had a weird hard start that turned out to be plugged injectors, plugged common rail and a bad lift pump.- kg4tnp

appreciate the Pm Heath. Construction yard is closed Friday so I may head up that way in the morning (advantage to being 60 miles from Bowling Green). But be forewarned 'Ol Blue' is pretty ugly PO took good care of the engine and drive train but not the body I'm hopeing to get him resprayed...- kg4tnp
