Something failed with my Coolant temp Gauge. At cold startup it shows 260°. Then goes to about 300 if I had to guess. It didn't limp or no engine lights came on to make me think the computer so a high temp. Anyone with any thoughts would be helpful.
Recent convert to duramax , I bought my brothers 04 cc 3500 4x4. It has approx 80k for miles. My brother bought it new. We want to tow a 37' 5th. Wheel rv. Any suggestions on what upgrades I need to make? Thanks any info will be appreciated.
Sounds like your clutch isn't totally disengaging. Don't know a thing about these standard transmissions but could your hydraulics need bleeding for the clutch disengagement?

Have you tried pouring water on the pump when its hot to see if cooling it a bit will allow it to start. Never personally tried this but many recomennd this to identify a pump that is going bad.

I'm searching for you and it sounds like they are saying in the power distribution box, someone called it the EEC relay in the post I'm looking at. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply, Wasn't sure about the check valve thing I read about in another tranny post. Thought maybe the torque converter was dumping back to the pan and overfilling. Can that rear bushing be done with the tranny in the truck, just pulling the tail piece?
