Same happened to mine when I did the "Hutch" mod and I feel it is necessary for any of the 7.3 PSD trucks. Not sure about the 6.0s. Someone said they fixed the problem on the newer models but not sure about that.

Not entirely true. There is a temperature spread between the pre and post turbo points. The temperature spread is a range not a fixed point. That range can be as much as 300 degrees. Smokey from TDS had a post and pre probe in and eventually determined the post was worthless because one kind of...
I'll add my 2 cents here. Had a conversation with a lube engineer about what to use in a standard tranny. The problem, other than shifting when cold, with using gear lube (75w90 etc.) is the sulfur content is high in this type of oil. It creates a good lubrication benefit but when the tranny...
A solution might be to have the track pay any winnings to a charity and thus, no pay for your winning. I think this whole thing is big govt. looking for another way to harass the people they were hired to serve. JMOHO

Why plug in at zero degrees F when the synthetic will do the job. (Yes I know, instant heat in the cab) We seldom get below zero but it does happen and my truck will start and run without being plugged in. Kind of helps offset the extra cost of synthetic.

Both Mobil 1 and Amsoil tell you it is OK to mix a synthetic and a dino oil together. Think about it. When you first change to a synthetic in a Powerstroke, you leave 2 qts of oil in the engine and it is mixed with the new oil. I is not and never has been a problem to mix the two types of oil.

Unfortunately, he is probably correct. I've heard anywhere from $700 to $1000 at your friendly Ford dealer or you can purchase a kit from on of the sponsors here and do it yourself for a whole lot less with better parts.

Son is law put 285s on and they look good. Had a friend reflash whatever to adjust the speedometer and the largest it would adjust to was 265s. It seems like GM allowed for someone that knew what they were doing with tires to calibrate their speedo to at least that size.

I was having problems staying logged on here also. There was something going on between here and the sister site, SuperDutyDiesel.com. Which ever I went to first, would force me to log in on the other. I found that if I backed out of my Zone Alarm fire wall, everything was OK.
