7.3L IDI anybody think I can fit it in an early bronco?

I just measured my fathers powerstroke today at 44" from bellhousing to front of radiator. Now assuming that that is true for the IDI I will next get the length of the early Bronco engine compartment.

    T-19 vs. ZF 5 speed?

I think that rebuild kits for T-19s are lower dollar too. I have seen about $150 at jeff's Bronco graveyard

Then I would have the t-19 bolted up to a heavy duty t-case that it fits. I guess I would have to cut out the inner fenders and core support just to get air in there! The standard Bronco coils are not thick enough of wire so I would need mabe something off a havy tuck with coils (real thick).

    Block dimensions

How long is the 6.9L/7.3L from the firewall to the front of the cooling fan? I have not gott on to the junkyard to look at one yet. I am guessing 33".

I think it will. I have not found the exact length of the engine compartment but I am optimistic for once about something.

7.3L IDI anybody think I can fit it in an early bronco?

It looks like I will need 40" from the fire wall to the front of the radiator to fie an IDI into the Early Bronco engine bay. I will go research the Early Bronco engine compartment.

7.3L IDI anybody think I can fit it in an early bronco?

I may buy an Early Bronco and would try to get a 7.3 in it. Any reasons not to? I would cut the inner fenders some so I could get to the exaust. Bolt the T-19 up to the dana 20 and adapter. Iunderstand that all adapters between the tranny and t-case on stock fords have the same bolt pattern on...

Fullwidth axils under narrow truck vs. full width turck mpgs?

I am considering running 1 ton axils full width under my scout (same width as an early bronco) and comparing the fuel econmy to a full size like 1979 Bronco or F-350 for miles per gallon. I know that the tires sticking out create drag but is it more than on a ful size truck where the tires are...

jumbo torque 351 W turbo concept

Just an idea that I have never seen propesed! I have a '82 f-150 and I was thinking it is a good set up needing a little tweaking. I get 6-11 mpg running from 1300-3000 rpm and a 50 mph cruise at 2400 rpm. I was thinking that max torqueat 2300 rpm is too high and I do not care that it makes 200...

    Fuel milage

That is just spectacular! I get 6 in my 1982 F-150 with a 351 W 2 barrel, short duration valve timeing, restricted breathing and 2.25" singel exaust. It has 4.11 gears with a stock c6. I have seen as high as 15 keeping my rpms below 2500 rpm and peak torque feals to be 2200-2300 rpm. I...

    Kens pump and injector specs

I can learn as much about it as I want once I own a high performance pump! Until I own rights to my own Kens injector pump then I do not have much right to the knollege. If I can get 242 hp at 2700 rpm and 541 ft/lbs of torque at 1500 rpm from a $525 pump and open exaust, intercooled, 12-16...
