I don't know of anyone that's actually tested THIS marine Aeromotive pump. However, Chris Sutton has ****** the A1000 Aeromotive pump and it has been flawless for over 3 years. For the record, the Marine pump is supposed to be even better than the A1000. The Marine pump has tougher...- Hohn

Coolant Question
Background: SCA are used for cavitation issues on liner-equipped engines. The flexing of the liners causes pressure waves in the water jackets, and the partial vacuum at the trough of these pressure waves can cause cavitation. The Cummins 5.9 is a parent-bore engine (no liners). Therefore...- Hohn

What kind Of MPG?
My poor truck rarely gets the pleasure of an extended hwy drive. But I have done a couple things in an effort to improve mpg. Some haven't helped at all, some have, some I have no way of knowing. In town, I get anywhere from 15.8-17 even. This is VERY short trips with the engine cold most...- Hohn

Actually, I think that I can do a complete Aeromotive system for about the same cost as a FASS, only have something with more stable fuel delivery, a more reliable pump, and better FP stability. With my aeromotive setup, you would have 3-15psi (depending on regulator setting) ALL THE TIME--...- Hohn

No joke. RASP is spendy and plumbing is a nightmare. I think if they eliminated the failsafe feature where it automatically goes back to stock LP in case of failure, then the plumbing (and cost) would be MUCH less. I've seen RASPs in person (laserbob put one in when I was visiting) and it's...- Hohn

Get a Comp and dangle the wire. Tap it when you're ready. There's just no way to have better options at a lower price. I'm pursuing a VA/TST stack, myself:)- Hohn

EEP is enterprise engine performance-- big truck puller types out of Ohio. For a while, their white Dodge was supposedly the HP king. www.enterpriseengine.com Oh, and I'll disagree with the FASS recommendations. Yes, we all want a reliable setup. The FASS hasn't proven to be it, though...- Hohn

Why? If fp is good, there's no need to fix what isn't broken. I can maintain 10psi with 150hp injectors and a stock LP. All i've done is remove the restrictive OEM fuel lines. Factory LP still going strong. Spent $120, not $500. And the Fass hasn't proven to be any more reliable on a...- Hohn

Maybe, but for a given HP level, injectors will be less stressful on an auto trans. They don't give the big torque spike that kills trannies.- Hohn

You can't run a diesel too lean, and certainly won't damage the engine from doing so. Besides, a blocked WG with stock fueling will still only take you to 27 psi or so-- just not enough fuel to hurt anything.- Hohn

There's only two versions of the ECM as far as basic programming goes. All other variables are just to account for year and trans of truck, and emissions stuff, etc so it will work on a particular app. No custom ECMs as of yet. I'm giving Marco my inputs though on how he can improve it.- Hohn

Well, I don't need to have them in to tell you that EGTs will be scary. I have the stock charger that I ported and modded the housing on. I hit 1500° on the dyno with the OLD injectors (75hp). The new ones are 150hp- Hohn
