The downside of buying a zero is that cutting grass is the only thing they are good for. It's perfect for the business of cutting grass, but they have absolutely no versatility. IMHO, you will be making a mistake. Spend just a few more dollars and move up to a 4310 or a 3320. Both of those tractors will handle a 72" cut, and a 430 300X FEL with ease. If you are going to cut 5 acres, you'll be sorry if you go with anything less.- George C

Anything under 30 HP is too small IMHO. I currently have a JD 4300 with a 72" MMM, and in heavy grass, it boggs a little. I can't imagine how helpless a 23 HP tractor would be. I am awaiting a new 3520 turbo (37hp) that should be in soon. I would wait and try to find a 4300, 4310 4400, 4410...- George C

If you drive your vehicle hard, I would recommend a 125 or lower. If you are not one to beat on your truck, the 160 is the one. I feel that the 160 in the wrong hands will destroy the transmission and possibly the drivelines. TOO much power to be driven hard. I have used the Quadzilla 115...- George C

Stock Air Filters
I know there has been a lot of discussion over the power increases a K&N style filter offers, but I think it makes a BIG difference. I use a PG-7, and the difference in egts and acceleration IS noticable.- George C

Its cold, and I got the ROMPS
Since I'm scared of ruining a good thing, I've never had my truck reflashed for the romps. My truck would romp if the weather report called for cold, but all of that changed when I started to use synthetic oil. It totally and completely cured the romps..- George C

Rig for racing roadtrips
I agree with Duke, By the time you are ready to pull out with old Jesse, she'll probably break down, and there goes all of that hard work. I would look for a used bus conversion. There are a ton of them already done, and they can be bought for big bucks or for little bucks.- George C

What are your experiences?
Like Brian, I had one of the first 6.0L's delivered. It's never been to the shop, never reflashed and runs flawlessly. It did have the cold weather romps, but Synthetic oil fixed that completely. Best rig I've ever owned. I usually trade every three years, so I'll be ordering the new...- George C
