Got the third shifter installed:
Let the fun begin................:rotflmao
Had to make it with the big kink to allow passenger room to get into the bunk. The shifter is right in front of the seat and with a straight stick it would be very difficult to move around.
A little update.
Some interior work got done. Had local shop sew me up the piece to cover the boot. I supplied them with a jig and it turned out pretty good.
I used the wood from the jig to mount vinyl to cab/bunk:
Then the new front panel I made:
Completed shot...
Thanks, it's changed a bit since that picture was taken. I did a little write up in the big truck section.

Got a '95 PSD at work that started to have starting issues.....or the lack of starting. Kinda random, but getting worse. A snort of ether would make it start easy, beyond that it would just huff white smoke.
After some talking on here and getting some heads up of what I was getting into I...
Thanks for the heads up. I have listened for "clicks" and do hear it under the hood. Guess maybe it has burnt the contacts up? Likely, as a few times, randomly, it has kicked off like it should. Then times it just cranks and smokes
Guess I'll pull the cover off and start...
Ok, time to highjack a thread.......;p
Our '95 PSD at work is having starting issues. The WTS light comes on for about 8-10 seconds and turns off. Truck huffs white smoke but won't start(like a typical cold diesel). Cycle the key a few times does nothing.
Yesterday while I was fooling...
Nope, our '91 was like that. The 99 has rear disc and the cables run to the rear side of the caliper to a hook. No adjustment at the pedal end, nowhere on the cable as it runs along the outside of drivers side of frame, nothing at the balance point, nothing back on the caliper.
The company truck has an issue that the brake doesn't hold, it's on the floor. Seems the one fellow drove with it on and it wayyy outta adjustment now.
I can't seem to find any adjuster on it, looked front to back(caliper). WTH?
I'll scribble it on the calender. Don't have a race next weekend, but going to play it by ear.
I think I came up to that location a couple years ago for an ATHS meeting. Unfortunately it was swamp due to bad weather previously.
Got me a shifter for the aux tranny. Made a mount for it today.
lil close to the passengers left leg, but I'll be bending the handle around
Plenty of room for shafts coming to the rear:
A look back from that point:
Still got some detail work before painting and getting it...
Pretty cool!!! Can't wait to see some pictures.
15 odd years ago, building something like that was my goal. Using it to pull my race trailer(with was a 28ft tag at the time). Then the ol B model came in to play and it all went out the window.
Glad to hear. Positive attitude is everything. Keeping busy helps too.
Sounds like a really cool project. Hope you post some pics. C model is a cabover?
I suppose it's a diesel chassis?
Thanks Russ. I hoped to catch up with you guys sometime this summer at one of your "get togethers".
Ohhh, well I'll take FULL responsibility on the faulty install...................and here's the REST OF THE STORY..........
When I got the new frame with axle it had budd hubs. I pulled...
Ya.
Made the trip to South Bend, Indiana for the ATHS truck convention. All was well, til the ride home. Blew the LR axle seal about 1/2 way home. Was puking it's guts out for 3 hrs and made a hell of a mess. Come to find out I'm a dummy and apparently didn't install it correctly. Seems...
