    AC compressor clutch replacement??

I just did this on my wife's 95 Explorer so they may be close to the same compressor. On that one you can buy the clutch separate ($95 @ Advance). You basically take the clutch off piece by piece. You need to buy or make a tool to hold the clutch from spinning while you take the center bolt...

Want to buy guages & pillar pod - - where?

Can't help with that year but as far as a supplier goes I got mine from www.dieselmanor.com a couple of years ago. Good price at the time, good directions and good service... FWIW - FaC

    Strange Noise when cold.

As far as I know the truck closes the EBPV (exhaust backpressure valve) and increases the idle speed to warm up quicker. You should have also seen the RPMs come up to about 1000-1100. On mine, it will stop the high idle and the hissing sound as soon as I touch any pedal. FWIW - FaC

    Gooseneck safety chains?

I am pretty sure that they are required in Missouri also. Even if they were not, I would run them as an anti-lawyer measure. FWIW - FaC

    Pre VS Post pyro......

I never had the post but I was amazed when I put the pre-turbo pyro on. I was seeing 1350 on a stock 7.3 6sp pulling a TT going eastbound on I-40 just past the split with I-85 in Durham (really EASY grade). Of course that revelation led to more expense - I ended up putting on a Walker BTM. That...

    Pyro clam-on probe at BP

I have the clamp on version on the driver's side downpipe and it works well. I decided that I did not really want to mess with the cast manifold (yes, i admit it - I am a chicken ;-) FaC

    Western N. Carolina Grade Names

You could argue on the Western Carolina part but I77 NB at the NC/VA line (Fancy Gap) is a pretty good grade - about 7mi @ 4-5% FaC

    Favorite Trailer Brake Controllers

I traded a Reese digital for a Prodigy and I like the Prodigy a LOT. It seems to be a lot more progressive. FWIW - FaC

    Fuel Filter

Could you have one of the aftermarket single piece filter where the lid is a part of the assembly? IIRC the stock cap does not go down into the stock racor filter. I could be full of it because I am just coming up onto a filter change and have not been in there for a while... FaC

    Unstable trailer - what changed?

I would look at the tongue weight first - IIRC it should be 10-15% of the total trailer weight. I would also look at the hitch height. I would want it level at worst. On my TT I run about an inch down even with a pretty good WD setup. As far as the tires go, I would go to range E tires to get...

    Problem with PM's

Do you have pop-up blocking turned on? I am pretty sure that the PM is displayed in a pop-up window. Look right below the menu bars and see if there is a message that the browser has prevented a pop-up from opening. FWIW - FaC

    goose neck balls

I have the Pop-UP hitch and am happy with it. This is the one that has the pull rod above the LR tire to extend the ball. The plate has two sets of holes that you can chose for the safety chains and the outside setting does not let the hitch hit the chains. I was able to install it my self...

Is an anti sway system worth it

As stated above, big bumper pulls could really use them. I use the dual cam and am pretty happy with it although I had to work with it a while when I got the Cougar (17.5K loaded up and ready to go). I would have went with a 5er but I need the bed space for bikes, toys, etc.... FWIW - FaC
