    So my old man, bless his soul, just HAD to move my truck, because well, he had to move it. I told him the key sticks so pull it back when it fires or the starter wont disengage.     So I'm burning around a quart every few hundred miles. Runs great just didnt replace the valve stem seals when I 'rebuilt' the motor. Figure that's where the oils going. Think I can just swap the oil filter out and not drain the oil? Its gonna burn that **** anyways.

    Ive heard from old timers to always replace the oil pump if your going that deep in there i.e. bearings. I did my thermostat and water pump when i did the head gaskets.
