Strange problem going on here............... Seems when the truck sits overnight, it has to be cranked for a while to start. This only happens when the truck sits for an extended period of time. Hypermax Cowl Size
OK, went out and took some measurements. The hole is 6.25" by 2.25". The plastic molded cowl part that attaches to the firewall extends out over the top of the brake vacuum booster about 8". From there a flexible hose connects to the air box.- Diesel Max

It's been a while since I installed mine, but I want to say it was approx 5" x 2.5"............ If no one else chimes in, before tonight, I'll see if I can measure mine when I get home. Don't have the truck with me at work today.- Diesel Max

Running out of Ideas to Fix My Constant Smoking 6.9
As Goose suggested, I would check the CDR and make sure it is not clogged or restricted.... Does the truck use any oil ?? I had a 92 F250 7.3 that smoked alot. The smoke looked grey but had a slight blueish tinge to it. Truck ran perfect with plenty of power and you would have never thought...- Diesel Max

I guess that could be debated but the truck drives straight and I have no tire wear. I don't adjust it much and not very often but I have never noticed any drivablilty change at all...........- Diesel Max

IMHO the air bags are the way to go. They are easy to install and don't cost much more then the add a leafs. What I like about the air bags is that you can adjust the ride height to what ever you want. You can adjust them for ride or load to get the vehicle exactly where you want it by simply...- Diesel Max
