'93 F250 rear harness total mess.....

It' my signature '93 F250. It has the towing package with all the fuses and relays under the hood. The donor truck harness came from a '93 F350 with a 460. Guess I'll have to do a pin by pin check on both firewall plugs for proper wire placement. Anyone have a decent harness available??

'93 F250 rear harness total mess.....

Months and months ago I started a thread on the condition of my rear taillight and brake harness, I couldn't find it so I'll start over. It's really not repairable, after doing more of an internet search I discovered that my original harness had 2 plugs, 1 for trailer lights and the other for...

    Fuel tank wiring.

******* out over full usually means the ground side of the circuit has been lost. The ground side should use a black wire. Mine was broken close to the tank, I added a piece in and connected to the floor under the truck until I can locate another rear harness that hasn't been butchered like mine.

Swapping to newer model I Beams

Finally located parts from a '93 F350 dually. My concern is the rear axle swap. I have not measured either truck, but from past knowledge from other folks the frame on the dump should be narrower than the dually's frame. I have the equipment to move the spring seats(just didn't want too)...

    Need you electrical gurus....

I crawled under the beast yesterday and moved the wires around. That seems to have helped, so Weds I'm off in search of a harness. I bet its going to be hard to find a '92-93 ext cab diesel harness with dual tanks...wish me luck.

    Need you electrical gurus....

My '93 has developed a strange electrical problem. With the park lights on and the right turn signal something is causing a back feed or ground problem that is affecting the fuel solenoid in the IP. The truck will start to buck, jump and lose power, as soon as you turn the turn the park lights...

Swapping to newer model I Beams

I'd buy a rolling donor truck and swap the entire I beam and hub assemblies along with the rear axle.

Swapping to newer model I Beams

The '81 F350 dump needs kingpins and finding another set of "coined" 16" wheels has been fruitless. I took the 16"s off the dump to use on the RV getting rid of it's 16.5" wheels. The 16.5's are on the dump right now to keep it rolling. So here is my question.. Can newer ball joint style I beams...

    6.9 or 7.3 swap '81 F350

Think I'll pull the heads off the 400m for a valve job and call it good for now. While I'm tearing into it throw a clutch in it too. I'll keep looking for a donor truck since this is supposed to be a future project....lol

    6.9 or 7.3 swap '81 F350

Ok... The truck in OK I passed on, the owner didn't seem to be telling all he knew. Here is another prospect not that far from me... What ya think? https://springfield.craigslist.org/cto/5944322710.html

With the new look.. how to upload photos now?

Since I'm old and PC stupid(and I don't wanna get in trouble again),what's the process for posting photos now?? I didn't see the former "advanced" key.

    6.9 or 7.3 swap '81 F350

No, it's a 2wd cab and chassis with a dump bed.. I missed the perfect donor ...1984 f350 with a 6.9 and 4x4. For the price it has everything I need for the swap, the seller says he just got it and knows nothing about it. I only use the '81 here on the farm, it needs too much work to make it road...
