    The truck was out side To add to that one tank had no cap How to hook the hard line to the jack? Is there a way to test the lift pump at home? The oil shows no sign of water and the coolent is nice and green Do these trucks have a fuel water trap and if so where and how can it be checked...

    The oil is black as night but i did check it right before start and it was full Could i have damaged an injector with very old fuel (the fuel could have been up to ten years old) Can injectors be reuilt Can one test an injextor at home? Thanks again

    Thanks, That's what I thought, I guess I shoulda tested em all before installing... :mad: With the plugs in the truck If I test less than 3 Ohms at the plug then the GP should be good, yeah? Thanks again.

    another glo plug question

    I'm currently trying to switch over to manual control of my GPs. I have replaced all the plugs but I cant get one to get hot. Cant I just hook one up to the battery with jumpers and watch it get hot? The plugs I have are AC delco 10.5V, Why don't they get hot on 12.75V? What am I doing...

    So the other seven came out just fine. The engine rolls over fine by hand, Not in first gear tho....(Face palm) This leads me to think I should just return the AC Delco GPs and order some motor craft ones? I'm thinking You folks are right and it broke of a long time...

    The GP that I bought are ACdelco. I thought it was just the Auto craft that needed staying away from? My compression tester is old as dirt, I've had it as long as I can remember. I can't say if it came from Harbor Freight or not..... I was gonna use my mouth, and I don't work in a bus stop...

    looks like my tester wont screw into the Diesel. Go figure. I'll pull off the CDR and give it a blow/suck job. :D I added my Trucks info in my sig, lets see if it works.

    Ok, what cyl PSI should I be looking for? I'm not sure if my tester will to Diesel or not but I check. This is my first Diesel. What is the CDR and How do I check/test it? I have a timing light, but no nothing about checking timing on a diesel, Or or you referring to fuel lifter pump...

    Yeah, The GP in #2 was testing bad. All the rest test ok. Errrr, how soft is the tip of a GP? I would think that #2 cyl is toast if that fell in and got run? May hap that's why my truck has such little power and so much smoke? I'll try turning over by hand but wont I be fighting a lot...

    Man I'm having a bad day.... The #2 glo plug tip is missing.... In servicing my 1985 f 250 6.9 I noticed the #2 was testing bad. I'm changing over my plugs to manual control and figured now is the time to get the system in tip top shape...... How screwed am I? I'm guessing the head...
