    No Fuel??

Ok. So I've been working on this truck a while now. 86 F350 CC DRW 6.9idi. I've replaced the injector caps and orings and lines. Rebuilt the oil cooler(that was fun). New front fuel tank(both were rusted, however, I've only replaced the front tank for now. I got it running and drove it around...

Got it to prime! Next..Oil leak!??!

Well, I've got the new lift pump on, flushed the radiator, put in new oil and oil filter, now, on to the front brakes, and I've noticed a couple of those plastic nossles under the fuel lines going to the injectors leaking just slightly while its running, so, looks like those have to go to. Suck...

Got it to prime! Next..Oil leak!??!

Got it to prime! Next..Oil leak!??!

Ok, doing the job tomorrow. By the way, I've read that it's pretty hard to get the o-rings for the 6.9. Do I need to be looking in the yard for an old 7.3 to use instead? Don't really feel like pulling 2 in one day, but if that's what I've got to do, then that's what I've got to do.

    Priming Question!? HELP!?

So, got it running, now I have to replace the gaskets and rings in the oil cooler, it's leaking like a sieve. Any help on taking it out would be appreciated. Looks to be 4 bolts holding it on. And I believe I have to drain the oil and cooling system before I do this, correct?

Got it to prime! Next..Oil leak!??!

Where can I get the O-rings? I ordered an oil cooler seal kit from Autozone earlier, should be in tomorrow, but it didn't look like it came with any o-rings, the picture only showed 3 gaskets. Also, it looks like there are 4 bolts holding the whole thing up there, am I correct. Any advice on...

Got it to prime! Next..Oil leak!??!

Ok, first of all, thank you everyone for the info and advice on getting my 86 6.9 to prime up and run;Sweet. I finally got it to and it sounds great! However, there is a bad oil leak. It's coming from what looks to be a cylinder that comes forward to the front of the truck directly out of the...

    Priming Question!? HELP!?

Is the lift pump the same as the fuel sending unit in the tank? If so, I have another one that came in the tank I pulled at the salvage yard. It actually looked to be in better shape than the one that was in the old tank, however, I'd have to do some adjustin on my fuel lines because the ones on...

    Priming Question!? HELP!?

I will definitely read those. I do know that it is not getting fuel yet, though, because I can press the schrader valve while it's being cranked and nothing comes out. I have also taken loose the first injector line and cranked and nothing came out. Although, before you guys posted to me, I was...

    6.9 fuel filter head....

6.9 fuel filter head I'm really new to the diesel world, but I just bought an 86 6.9 and that third hole on the side of mine is where the schrader valve threads into for bleeding the system of air. It looks like a tire valve stem.
