Homebuilt goose neck/5th wheel rail ideas?
Looking at building goose neck reciever and possibly having 5th wheel set up also that’ll be under my flatbed. Anything to add for ease of use? I’m a fairly competent fabricator just looking for any good ideas. Pics would be great too!- camotoy66

Chevyta, yup the exact truck! Picked it up Dec 27. Had to pull start with a tractor, dumped more fuel on the ground than it used and tranny is pretty loud (syncros?). Had the pump rebuilt by K&S Inj in Wausau, new return line kit, starter armature was fried, had a few electrical issues, new vac...- camotoy66

Gonna toss the new starter it came with in tonight and get some fresh fuel, maybe tomorrow I'll know if/how well it runs. No this will give me an excuse to build an offroad truck again!- camotoy66

The truck was in Lodi, near Madison. Was a 2 week old ad on CL saying for parts but no one offered I guess. The floor pan's pretty rotten but the doors and box are in really good shape. That's the same thing I was lookin' at, plus the turbo may be worth something to the right person, I'm thinking of stripping it down, shorten it to a short bed and then re-do the frame and body, make it look new. My reg cab is a bit crowded.- camotoy66

1st big pull and new toy
Just bought my 90 late dec and I just found this 86 350 6.9 crew cab 4x4 with hypermax turbo. Couldn't let go, some rot in the floors but seems ok for a project and for $700. Picked up 95 miles from home and pulled great at 65 down the highway. Very happy I went diesel!- camotoy66

New to me 90
Ok, vacuum pump only putting out 8in. These look pretty spendy, even on ebay. Has anyone tried an electric vacuum pump?- camotoy66

New to me 90
Finally, it lives, just fired up yesterday. So far I've thrown about $900 into it so for $1900 I can't complain. Then I got cheap, had no vacuum so I disassembled the diaphragm and found a small hole in it. Trying old speaker trick with silicone, if this works, I saved about what $100? Took...- camotoy66

Oh yeah, sorry, it's a 90. I think you guys already answered it for me, they did pretty much fall into place but I didn't try to start this up until I was sure, paranoia I guess. Thanks again.- camotoy66

Injector pump wiring???
I screwed up, just picked up my rebuilt injector pump, all in and ready to turn over, but, I didn't label the 3 plugs that hook to it, anybody know what goes where?:dunno- camotoy66

New to me 90
I was thinking of just cutting Y out and turning the driver's side bank to follow pass side down to just before rear wheel and exit, otherwise I have some 3 1/2" stainless from a friends superduty that I may just add after the Y, not sure yet.- camotoy66

New to me 90
Finally bought my first diesel, sticking a good amount of cash into it in just the first week and hope I don't regret it. Picked up a 90 reg cab 250 4by 5spd XLT Lariat. Wiring shorting somewhere?!?!
