Yes, I have thought about trying to find some seats out of another vehicle with cooling built in, but then you have to deal with trying to retro fit them to the vehicle and I really don't want to give up the current dual console setup. I even tried to get the dealer to swap me for some cloth...
'06 Ram with leather heated seats. I live in Florida (read hot as fire except for the week of winter). I hate the HOT seats. Even after a few minutes of driving when the cab has cooled down, the seat is still fire hot because there is nowhere for the heat to go except into my back and butt...
Installed the sensor last week, pleased with it. I appear to be getting about 1.5 mpg increase mixed driving, no towing with the sensor yet. The power increase is not huge, but it is noticable during accelleration and passing.
I have yet to install the muffler yet. I wanted to know what...
No, just ordered it Thursday. Won't be here till middle of the week. I prolly won't get to the muffler for a week or two. I'll prolly just put the sensor on first and run it for a tank to see if I can tell any difference then do the muffler. I like to try one thing at a time, that way I have...
Ok, I ordered a silent muffler and a sensor. While on the site, I read about their Vibration isolation kit. Anybody tried it? My truck doesn't really vibrate, just the normal diesel feel and sound. What would it do?
Holtser, why no synthetics and what makes Rotella T better than say Delvac 1300 or Delo 400? As I stated above, I'm pretty ignorant when it comes to diesel maintenance and I need to learn all I can. Synthetics served me very well in my gas engines and I wanted to go back that way with my CTD...
I'm about to do my first oil change, almost 6k. I don't like to push the first change interval too far. I plan to go back with dino, excuse me, CVO 'till I get a few more miles on it. Maybe switch to synthetic around 15k. Any thoughts on switching sooner (or later)? Probably about 20% of...
John, blame the lawsuit happy American public. The lawyeers wouldn't have a job if we didn't keep employing them. It is high time we hold people responsible for their own actions. Coffee is hot and if you spill it on yourself then try to sue the one that sold it to you,m you don't deserve...
My dealer down here said that anything other than exhaust would void the warranty as far as they were concerned. I guess a roktech crank sensor would be undetectable as long as you swapped it out before going in for service. But a lot of the boxes and programmers leave some kind of telltale.
Yeah, my last GM truck was my LAST GM truck.
Brother-in-law traded his '03 Tahoe for an '06 Expedition a few months ago and he loves it. Says it is a much better vehicle all around than the Tahoe.
Couldn't wait for tomorrow. Took me a paper clip, bent it around stuck in the connector to short the wires together like the belt is connected. Didn't even have to unplug it or cut any wires. To two minutes because I had to go back in the house for a paper clip. I always wear my seatbelt...
As I said earlier in this thread, it's a great truck, but I would not have bought mine had I been aware of this problem. It has made me hate the truck. I followed my dealers suggestion and have been driving around with the horn unhooked while I've been waiting for a reply from Dodge. But that...
