anyone use Napa batteries?
Hey here is my two cents! My opinion is biased toward the "NAPA" products, as I am a sales rep here in Canada! I work for the Grande Prairie AB, branch. Never had a problem cranking it. Just would not fire! Have not had the problem for a while, but bought a fuel shut off solenoid, just incase it happened again. I have not driven the truck for about 3 months, as I just bought an 08' Nissan Titan LE to haul my trailer. The Ford is for sale if...- biounlimited

Thanks for all the input! Last two days is has started and ran good, morning, lunch and after work. I did'nt check for smoke when I had the no start, but the ambient temp in the shop would have been around 72 Degree F. So I should'nt have needed the glow plugs ( but I did try them just...- biounlimited

When it does start it will run all day no sputtering or hesitation. It just seems to do it after sitting for an hour. Today it started and ran well. In the morning, lunch and after work. So I don't think it is getting air in the system I think it is the fuel shut off sticking closed when warm...- biounlimited

bought the truck two months ago so not sure if the IP was ever changed on it. Has 299k on it. So I imagine it has been changed but not sure when. Could the fuel shut off stick closed and cause my no start? then run fine once it does engage?- biounlimited

Update! New electric fuel pump ( just incase) , replaced o-ring in fuel return cap (again). Bled off fuel filter ( no air for sure!) Cracked open front left injector line at the injector, cranked twice for approx. 10 seconds and I have no fuel coming out! checked for power at the top of I/P see...- biounlimited

Hi new to the forums, started my truck yesterday morning. started then stalled, but started right up again. Drove to work, parked it, went to start it at lunch time, and did the same start then stall. Now it will not start at all. checked for air in the filter, bled off valve just to be sure...- biounlimited

more of the same Hello again. Day two, same problem, but the kicker was that last night went back to check some stuff, topped up oil (2 qt. low), bled the filter housing again, and it started up! Back to today, exact same problem, morning start then stall, but quick restart, lunch no start...- biounlimited
