Thanks for the input...still haven't done anything about my tranny or torque converter...neither are broke so maybe thats a good thing...there seems to be so many things you can do to these trucks...will check on that brand when the time comes...
haven't put the #100 on yet...one of the guys from the forum is going to give me a hand...I also got the 3000 rpm gov spring kit...am hoping to improve my towing...not worried about racing....hopefully soon
I have a 97 12 valve with an automatic...I see a lot of torque convertors advertised, anybody have any experience with what any of them...am looking for probably a triple disk with a low 1400 to 1700 stall speed...there also seems to be a pretty good spread on the prices...also I tow a 30' fifth...
Hi guys, anybody out there put an aftermarket intake manifold on a 97 Dodge Cummins with the hydro boost brake setup, I have contacted CFM, ATS, AFE and no seeems to make one that will fit my setup...any ideas of brands I may have missed or you know will work...thanks :dunno

Well I took my first trip to the desert (Imperial Sand Dunes) from San Diego and after a few minutes in the mountains was so glad I sold my 95 Ford F250 with a 460 Gas hog V8. My new 97 12 valve towed my 30 ft 5th wheel loaded down out the desert on 1/2 a tank of fuel and had no trouble pulling...
Recently I was at a gas station when the guy next to me started his Ford PS...at idle it sounded like a jet kinda idling and when he gassed it it really sounded good...guess it was the turbo and a big exhaust...is this correct or could there be more to it...
97 12 valve...only want to do this once so which is better...4" of 5" exhaust...also what brands do you like...same thing for intakes and cold air setups...will be towing a 30' 5th wheel and need power and fuel economy...thanks
