All new mods done to the truck the last few days, had a friend who parted out his 99 and we spent the last couple days in the shop...hoping to get it on a dyno this coming week and check out the numbers- Beave32

So far on the truck I have a Dp 4 stage( stock, 60, 80, and 120) tuner. DP tranny with billet shafts and 3 disc torque converter. AFE intake, 4" turbo back exhaust, fass fuel system, dual terminator pumps pushin 61psi...Ball buster turbo pushin 37psi under load, dpp 250cc injectors...Lucas oil...- Beave32

I already got a 3 guage pillar pod with the boost,fuel pressure and pyro on the pillar and a trans temp on the steering column. It's an automatic, K&N will be the next add on and most likely MBRP 4" turbo back exhaust. But My question is after I do the prerequisites for the chip what are some...- Beave32

Just traded in my beloved 88 IDI for a 99 Powerstroke that is virtually stock mechanically. I'd like to work on a few performance mods to begin with such as:Turbo,injectors/fuel system/and programming/tuners. For now my question relates to the tuner side. 84 chevy/97 camaro
I really don't know if it's the 30th or not...I just bought it last week and haven't been home long enough to pop the hood let alone have to put gas in. My best guess is that it's a 350 because it's got way more power than a 305 should...Also, what about just gettin the VIN off the block and...- Beave32

If I'm correct the 97 30th anniversary camaro v8 was a 350...I'm not100% sure on that...what is the harmonic balancer? and where is it located, and how do I measure it- Beave32

Well here she is...It drives real nice, gets pretty respectabel gas mileage for a full size truck and a bit more than my 7.3...I think my main problem was I couldn't keep my foot out of it to watch the smoke roll out the top haha- Beave32

Well I did however trade it for another local truck...84 chevy 3/4 ton with a 97 Z28 camaro 350 in it...true dual flowmaster exhaust...got to keep my wheels and tires though...I'll post a pic if anyone would like to see it? I'll take good or bad comments ha ha...It's all american made to me!- Beave32

As much as I hate to say it, I got rid of my old 88 idi...kinda killed me but it was fallin apart and I couldn't keep up with repairs...Thanks to everyone for all their help on here!- Beave32

84 chevy/97 camaro
I recently purchased a 84 chevy 3/4 ton...And the guy(certified mechanic) dropped in a 97 camaro motor in it...It's a v8, i believe a 350 but I'm not sure...does anyone know which model it would be? Z28, RS,SS anything? and also I'd like to have the computer "flashed" and brought back to stock...- Beave32

U joints going out faster than my diesel!
Alright thats alot to consider from EVERYONE. I pressed my joints with a bench mounted vice. Thanks to everyone for your help. I'm sure I'll be on here asking more stuff(even though I wished I wasn't haha) being that this is my first IDI pickup and I am trying to learn as much as possible...- Beave32

The new ones came pre greased...I shot a little more in there and that was a synthetic hi-temp grease. I bought them from shucks and I believe they are "precision" joints. I'm not sure if it is one or both. Another thing I forgot to mention is that I think my tranny mount might be loose...- Beave32

For the life of me I can't keep a u-joint in my truck for more than a month. I hear like a sharp popping noise when I let the clutch out and that lasts for about a week then it gets really bad. Any ideas what might be causing it to lose them? Or if someone thinks it may be something else...I...- Beave32
