I know it's not a 6-leaker, but there's no 6.4 section on this forum.

I'll be picking this up Saturday:

It's a King Ranch, but I'm not sure if it has EVERY feature offered that year. It is well-optioned and drives and rides WAY better than my '89 F-250. I'm pretty excited.
I've had an '89 F-250 Lariat Extended cab 4×4 for seven years. It's been a GREAT truck, but it's time to upgrade (I'll be buying a 15K+ fifth wheel soon).

No kidding on the amount of power it has. 350 hp/650 tq stock.

I gave it maybe half throttle coming out of a parking lot getting on to a local highway and broke all four 19.5" rear wheels loose.

Yep. Compound turbo 6.4. 96K miles.

The radiator has a little wetting on the passenger side (common problem). I'll be upgrading to a Mishimoto all-aluminum rad and silicone hoses.

Beautiful truck -Drool
6.4 is the real 6 leaker imo. Nothing but coolant puddles, finally went mishimoto a year ago ($750 later :frustrate )after 3 oem radiators. No puddles so far better knock on wood.

Are you planning on deleting it?

I've looked around, and it seems one of the most common problems with the 6.4s are leaky radiators. There's a guy I work with (who has a 2008 F-350) I talked to this morning. He's been slowly losing coolant for a couple of months and didn't know where it was going. I told him there's a good chance it's his radiator. He had no idea.

The DPF has already been deleted. If you're talking about the EGR, eventually. Seems like it runs pretty good.

The guy who I'm buying it from told me once he deleted the DPF he was getting 18 mpg on the highway unloaded. I didn't believe him, but once I met up with him and looked at the computer in the dash I was less skeptical. It registered 18.2.

We'll see what kind of mileage I get... I've got a lead foot.

i don't wanna rain on your parade too bad but they've earned the nickname 'lie-o-meter' :D

Yeah, I've seen that term used. I'm not expecting to get that great of mileage out of a truck rated to tow a 24,500 lb. fifth wheel. If I can get 15 unloaded on the highway I'll be happy.

For the first few weeks until I get used to how much power it has, I'll probably be averaging 9 mpg. :peelout

Nice rig Brandon! I love the color combination with the Alcoa's and the 5R110 is a fantastic transmission.

Nice upgrade!

My pops has a match to it but in black. Replace the thermostats when you do radiator. There is two. He went through 5 radiators under warranty till they replaced the stats. Been 4 years now with no leaks. His hpfp let go at 130k. Dpf has been deleted. Truck still averages 10 mpg

I actually looked at an '09 that was an all black Lariat. It had a few more options than this one and was a few thousand less, but it hadn't been taken very good care of. This truck isn't immaculate, but it's in very good shape. I'm willing to pay more for a clean rig.

That's good information on the thermostats. Thanks. ;Sweet

I've found on a stock tuned truck, the computer is pretty close. Mine is 99.9% (Only EGR Delete) with no lift and stock size tires, and I did several hand calculations when I first got the truck and the computer vs my hand calculation was only different to the right for the decimal point. Now, add a lift, or larger tires, or a tuner, then all bets are off...

Hand calculated and the computer on a road trip to the M-I-L in SE Kentucky (about 250 miles) in the heat of the summer A/C on I topped 21 MPG on the trip..... so I could see this truck getting 18 if it wasn't pushed really hard.

The PSD's just like the IDI's keep them at or below ~ 2000 RPM and the mileage is better.... then nice thing is in my PSD with the 3.73's ~2000 RPM is ~74 MPH..........
