i am now the proud new (2nd) owner of a 2005 long bed, 4dr, 4wd, 2500 5.9 crd, auto with only 33,500 miles. it has some mods already.... a lift or level kit with 325/60r18 nitto terra grapplers, cai or rai not sure but noticeably louder turbo whine (which i love) and the tailpipe is at least 4".

i still have to investigate the mods further, it was like 9 oclock and dark so i looked mainly for wear, damage, etc. ill post pics of the truck later today, maybe you guys can help me id what i have. i am new to ram trucks all together and have only read lightly about the 5.9 crd so i definitely have more reading to do!

is there anyway to tell if my truck has been tuned? i bought it from a dealer and their knowledge was quite limited about the aftermarket stuff.

thanks, i look forward to owning this beast for sometime!

Nice choice enjoy the truck! Look into an aftermarket fuel pump such as FASS (excluding ddrp) or Airdog/Raptor. As far as a tuner or chip look for wire/s piggy backed or plugged into the map sensor as well as a few others then run to tuner box depending on the chip/tuner. Could be a number of different brands youll be looking for such as Quadzilla, Edge, Diablo, Superchips etc

Great choice of truck! My own is an '03 RAM 2500, complete with only 43,506miles on the clock when I bought it. Has a block heater, 5,000 lb. air bag suspension in back, 5.9 litre CR, 48Re, full power everything, long bed and topper, set up for camper and snow plow (yeah, it's an Alaska truck) with 4.10 in back.

Despite the gearing, at a cool 65 mph, I'm knocking down 21.5 on the long haul. 'Course, I'm light on the throttle. ;Sweet

Exhaust on the 04.5 and up is already 4" so all you need to do is ditch the CAT and put a nice straight through performance muffler, besides that all I've added engine performance wise is a Bully Dog triple dog tuner and an AFE intake. Very happy with it like this.

202,000 on mine and about 1/3 - 1/2 of it is towing trailers. Have replaced the clutch, rebuilt front end, replaced 2 batteries and rebuilt the driveshaft. Havn't had to touch the truck other than that.

sounds like a nice rig. i love how fuel efficient these trucks are and how much power they produce while being so efficient!
