as far as my research has gone,
it seems like the 94 powerstroke was a stand alone engine management?

im looking to find something electrical wise that i can use on a engine run stand to fire up a powerstroke

can any of you confirm this?

I have seen on pusher busses there is a box that the harness goes into that has a key to start the engine from the rear. The ECM is mounted on the engine, whats inside the box is a what looks like a power distribution box with breakers and relays. I'm sure you could adapt it for a test stand.

If you're talking about the pickup, none have the stand alone.
Mine is a 94.5. One of the first strokes make. I can show you pics that it's just like the newer ones.

You'll need to look at the medium duty study stuff.
Or do what this guy did. https://youtu.be/3IYaJur9V00

You want the actual T444e set up from something like a school bus. All the light duty trucks have their own engine management computer integrated into the truck's wiring. The industrial version has the standalone computer and wiring harness.

Also though, you need to decide if you plan on tuning eventually. The T444E is very limited on tuning. Can be done though.

It's actually the same electronics as the newer 7.3's.
You can have the computer flashed to OBD II.
Very easy to diagnose with the right tool. Not some cheapy parts store junk.

Oh yeah, noticed you didn't make a introduction, so welcome to the site.

Haha yeah.
My mileage has been down for a little while. But I blame it on the tunes and my turbo needing rebuilt.
Probably nothing to do with doing 80 on the highway. Lol
