Hi I am a new 7.3 L IDI Ambulance owner and am having trouble hooking-up my wires to my alternator. I have a picture or two and was wondering exactly where I connect the Red/Light Green and White/black wires to (they are loomed together and bare). The Lg positive to the battery was obvious, but the other two are giving me trouble. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The negative is through the frame and mounts of the alternator. I can't help with the wire color codes, sorry.

I have nearly the same alternator, ground and pos. posts are obvious, D is ignition, that's all you need.

As a guess, "A" is your stator, and "D" is your field.
Connect a voltmeter to "A" - it should show some small AC voltage (if there is still some residual in the rotor).
Next, connect a wire from "D" to a 12v tail lamp and +12V. The alternator should have DC output.
