Been playing with Mercedes diesels for @ 10 years. Got a diesel John Deere 3010 @ 14 years ago. A diesel GMC @ 5 years ago.
Bought a non running 92 F350, crew cab, 7.3 diesel with a Banks Sidewinder turbo @ 4 years ago.
The Ford, I knew had problems. Hauled it home, put 2 fresh batteries in it, got it started but ran on @5 or 6 cylinders. Sat at my place for @2 years, bought a retired ambulance, pulled the 7.3 out, and the F350 finally, made it to the front burner. Swapped out the engine, replaced all the brake components, booster, mc, calipers, wheel cylinders, rear axle seals, glow plugs, and actually been putting some miles on it. Brake booster went bad again in 2 months, vacuun pump failed. So, I joined this forum to gain some info about the 7.3 idi.
Now, not sure if I'm going to sell it or keep it. Body is rust free, southern truck. Bed isn't beat up. Interior is cloth, real good shape.
So, that's a little about me and my project's .
