I've got several 83-90 diesel parts cars. W123, W124, W126 bodies. OM617 turbo engines, OM617 NA, OM603. Body parts, engine parts, etc.

Hmm... a bit far. I'm looking for a running 616 or 617.. what do you have and what are you asking for it?

The 617 turbo engine I have has a spun bearing. Haven't pulled it apart yet, but po ran it low on oil.

Well, my plans are to disassemble it and part it, since it's a complete engine. Prob a person could slip in new mains and rod bearings, as long as crank journal's aren't scored. Hadn't thought about selling complete.

I do have a running 617 in my storage shed, that I bought for a spare. When I bought it, the guy had a video of it running. I might be interested in selling it. It's bolted to a 722.xx tranny, that I'd separate. I'm running more 603 's than 617's.

I've got a 115 chassis 240d that I wouldn't mind swapping... But kinda want to stick with a 616/617. Not sure what it would take to drop in a 603...

Give it some thought and pm me. I'll look into the 603 a bit more too. Thanks

Anything is possible :)

My '03 Tahoe for instance is powered by a compound turbod 4bt Cummins... I like to fabricate things.

I'm sure it would be interesting... I know the 617 is a tight fit in the w115 chassis... I'm sure the 603 would be just that much more complicated.

Oh, no kidding. That's cool. Well, the 603 is a straight 6, so the 617 being a 5, not sure about the length. But, anything is possible.

Well, not sure what kind of room you could gain by deleting the engine driven fan and go to electric. Now, the om602 is a 5, but you know, the 617 is about bullet proof. The 602, 603, both have there issues, getting the correct casting number head for the 603. If only they would of made a 603 with a cast iron head, it would be almost indestructible.
