blown engine on the rover metro tud5 diesel, it popped its clogs after around 9000miles of wmo 80% blend with diesel, tryed allsorts of different de-watering techneques blar blar and found it best to mix in a large barrel cold and then filter through a vw t4 petrol canister filter into the tank, I now have fitted a low milage engine to see how this lasts, I will be a ltlle kinder and start up and shut down on diesel fuel, I think that the cold starts wore out the rings and pollished the bore. I did alot of experimenting with the last engine and I believe that this constituted to its demise so I will be putting what I have learnt to the test with this new engine.

The original 6.9 in the farm truck's rings were so stuck that the bores were glazed a light brown. Granted it had 220-230k on it and it sat about 6 years before I bought it and I only ran it on WMO. It spun a bearing and I just had To look at the bores. Should have taken a picture.
