Ok so I pulled the spark plugs on the Suburban and found that the Electrodes where worn completely down and since I don't have a lot of time
i decided to drop it off at a mechanic(which I don't like to do because most of the time they do more damaged) for a tune up
so basically he tells me the he can't do a tune up because it has a dead cylinder
and it'll Run like Crap. But it runs smooth which make me think it does not have a Dead Cylinder.

So should I just go and buy the Spark a Plugs etc and give it a go?

Sounds like your mechanic is trying to sell you more than a tune up, new plugs and wires, a cap and rotor, you ought to be good for another 30k

Thats what I'm thinking
I'll do a tune up and see how it does after.

It's got a DEAD cyl because the spark plug can no longer fire. As the saying goes "it's passing gas".
