I am curious what the actually differences between a SRW 350 and a 250. Obviously, the 350 has a higher payload but why and by how much, generally. Also, do you suppose there would be any practical difference between running either one as a daily driver?

The only thing I have laid eyes on is an 1100 lb difference in GVWR. I presume the spring rates are different, and the 350 frame is likely a tiny bit thicker.

The entire powertrain, cab, spring perches, bed, tanks, and everything under the hood are the exact same. Later OBS trucks had slight changes to the brake system, with larger wheel cylinders and master cylinders.

That's pretty well what I understood. Well, and that an F250 did not offer a crew cab in the OBS and prior.

Taken aparts lots of both, differences are on 4wd's is the d60 for f350, and all f350 have overload/helper spring above spring pack. everything else is the same.

NOTE: f250 camper special, trailer special, or Hd options also have the overloads. (50% if seen have them)
Everyone should upgrade to the f350 master cylinder 1 1/4" and larger wc's for dually's

Is it? Huh.
I reckon I've seen a crew cab short bed F250 before, now that you say that. I was thinking in terms of crew cab long bed.

97 is the only year for the crew f250. The 350 also had a 1 inch taller block in the back. Some 350s did not have overloads, but it was super common. Only bottom dollar xl work trucks didn't. Either way for the rear the only way to tell the two apart was the block. It was the only thing that couldn't be ordered to make the rear the exact same on the 250 as the 350. The front had huge differences, main being the Dana 60 monotube. Kinda funny how the leaf springs up front on the 350 had a lower rating than the 250 because of the way the axle traveled. Front spring rating for 250-4600
Front spring rating for 350-4400
Rear-orderable to be the same
Side note-the above applies to pickup bed only chassis cab are a whole different story
