I just got home 5 minutes ago and smelled oil from my 7.3 Excursion. I popped the hood and shined my flashlight on the engine. I have an oil leak. There is oil in the valley, oil leaking down the engine, oil down the undercarriage and oil on the uhaul trailer I am returning tomorrow. What are possible sources from up top? It is too late tonight to look but I will tackle it tomorrow morning.
What are possible sources of oil leak in 7.3 valley.

HPOP or Possible leak somewhere on the turbo I would say. I did some searching and others have had there HPOP leak oil in the valley.
All fixed. I lucked out. It was the rear plug on the HPOP and was fairly easy to get to. $15 including shipping for the O-ring kit from RiffRaff. Since I didn't have time to drain all the oil, I couldn't use the loctite. I ordered a second kit to throw in the glove box.
