Im looking at a '95 F450 with a blown reared. How much different are these than a f350 rear end? much more expensive to fix or harder to find parts for? i know nothing about the truck as i own a idi.

He says it has 4 wheel disks? I didnt know that was an option.

thanks for any help/in put!!

Look at the PSP thread I described the F-Superduty differences,

But an F-Superduty (what you are referring to as an F-450) has a 10 lug Dana 80 axle. They are specific to the F-Superduty. They have disk brakes, but no parking/emergency provision on the axle. It used a driveline brake mounted to the transmission. They also are the smallest ratio you can get is a 4.88. Most are 5.13 or higher..... they will pull a house with the power they put down, you just aren't going to get there fast. Calvin has said on his rollback, on the gov-ner...... it is less than 65 mph.....

Yes, Ford did not use the F-450 name until the 99+ F-450, F-550 trucks, with the marketing name of Super Duty.

In the 87-97 Body Ford made: F-150, F-250, F-350, F-Superduty. Then it jumped to F-650, F-800 in the Medium Duty chassis.

When you go look at the truck, this is what the fender badge will look like:
