I'm getting a new to me 96 7.3 Powerstroke F250 2WD long box 5-speed manual transmission next month with ~220000 Miles. Seems to be completely stock, runs good, no tuner, factory exhaust, no air intake mods or something like that.
Til 2011 the truck was registered somewhere in Kansas and is since 2011 in germany now.

First thing I want to do is change all fluids and then paint the frame and underbody with maybe POR15 (it has no undercoating on it - frame has some normal rust - cab is in descent shape :) )

So my question is: Can I use this fluids or should I use other stuff?

Oil: Mobil Delvac MX 15W40
Antifreeze: Fleetguard ES compleat precharged with SCA
Rear diff: 80W90 Shell Spirax
Brake fluid: DOT 3

ZF5: All I know is ATF...but wich one ???

Thanks in advance!

Chris

The transmission takes synthetic dexronIII ATF.a little ove a gallon.

Those fluids you listed are fine

Okay. Thank you so far.
That this engine oil and antifreeze can be used in the PSD too is nice. I use them in my IDI. So now I will buy larger containers = cheaper :)

I forgot one thing: What goes into the clutch master cylinder ?

Clutch master takes the same brake fluid you use for the brake master cylinder

Thanks ;Sweet

One more?

Can i use ATF Dexron 2 in the power steering?
I have a couple litres left over from my 88 F350 trans fluid change...

Or should I fill it with Mercon V or something like that?

Use regular dexron/mercon fluid for powersteering.do not use "powersteering fluid",it will cause the pump to whine and burn it out.

I would suggest a synthetic at least in the transmission such as AmsOil ATF or Royal Purple Synchromax.
