    When I try to put my truck in reverse it grinds like the cluch isn't releasing all the way. It has done this since i changed the flywheel, (Now SMF), clutch, pressure plate, throwout bearing, slave cylinder & master cylinder. That was 3 months ago and it still is an issue. It's a 1990 F350. The pedal feels good with no play. Are there any tricks to get more disengagement?

    Just to be sure all is working correctly....

    Have some one depress the clutch pedal slowly to floor, while you stand outside and watch the master cyl...if it moves it's likely your problem! FIREWALL flex a new MC and slave and clutch and and and and won't do a thing.....gotta stop the flex...also make sure that the actual pedals cross shaft is not wearing into the pedal hanging assembly...(aluminum casting)...if the shaft wears it may feel good but the clutch mc won't depress fully....thus problems...

    Notice the actual shaft is fine...light scuffing, the clutch arm/pin is good to, just the pedal box got worn TFO big time...



    Hope this helps....as either of these or a combination of them can make a bunch of NEW great parts work like shite!

    If all that ^^^ checks out, try looking at the rod that pushes the clutch master. If it's not adjustable, NAPA sells an adjustable one. Install that, then you can set it to give yourself a little more throw.

    wonder if sleeves could be pressed in, or if that hanger is toast?

    mine does the same thing once in awhile, usually when ive been using/feathering the clutch quite a bit. Like when im trying to get unstuck or slowly driving around the property. it also is hard to get into first.

    but when im just driving point a to b itll be fine

    - 363350 kms and still going strong
    - exhaust ends under cab.....

    1995 accord 4door 4banger
    - 6th gen accord wheels
    - gets unreasonably good fuel mileage compared to the truck
    - and yea it has vtec

    NO it's not worth saving I have a few of the STD hangers floating around....HORDER! OCD....
