Exhaust installed
yes, that is a muffler under there. once i stop the firewall from rubbing and put some miles on it, it will get straight piped, thus eliminating that mess of clamps behind the muffler.
i had to cut some of the "down slope" off of the over the axle piece to get the tail pipe right were i wanted it.
I really like how tucked up the tail pipe is to the fender.
I've been wanting to fix that on my truck for awhile now...

I might just see if I can get one of those tail pipes.
Mine hangs way too low. Probally alil more than a foot between pipe and fender.
Anyways. When are you going to fix your leaks and see what the new turbo dose for you?

the tail pipe is a two piece setup. i will go get the part numbers for you.
i will seal up my up pipe more tomorrow. then my dad and i have an idea on how to gain MUCHO clearance for the dp. right now i am not at liberty to discuss that method.

Thanks Eric. I've got front end stuff to do first
This sounds good![]()

part numbers
aluminized:
A121025
A121026
stainless:
S161001
S161002
BTW, i searched the SS numbers on diamond eye's website and could not find anything. on my packing list it says they are for an 03-07 ford 6.0L but with some fine tuning they work fine.

That's about what I had to cut off of mine to get it to fit how I wanted. I ran mine straight piped and then put the muffler in to compare the difference in EGT's. Once I found that it made no difference I left the muffler in because it takes some of the droning out and makes the truck comfortable to haul trailers around with for hundreds of miles at a time.

I have plenty of turbo whistle with the muffler in place. Without the muffler it was just louder overall.
