Jeep comanche / Nissan LD28 conversion help

Hi I am new to this forum.
I have a 1988 Jeep Comanche with a pretty good body and, a 1982 Nissan Maxima with a 2.8 liter straight six diesel (LD28) that has a rusted out body
And I was wanting to put the LD28 in the Comanche.
This would be the third diesel conversion for me

ok thats great...i doubt that is a common swap as the maxima diesels are a pretty rare beast.

Yes they are pretty rare. But , there are a few people in our area that have them
lots of power for a 2.8 though. Mine is a 5 speed and I can start off in 5th on level ground !!
I'm planning on adding a turbo

The first thing I would do is to look to see if that model of transmission was available in a 4x4 aplication ... if it was you could probably swap out the main shaft and add the rear adaptor and use the same tranny ...
Just a suggestion ...
