Default 460 GAS TO 7.3 DIESEL ENGINE SWAP

HELLO I HAVE A 1989 FORD F-250 EXTRA CAB 4X4 460 5 SPD AND 1993 F-250 2 WD STANDARD CAB AUTO 7.3 DIESEL LOOKING TO INSTALL 7.3 DIESEL IN PLACE OF 460 GAS QUESTION WILL THE 7.3 BOLT UP TO THE 460 BELL HOUSING? CAN I USE THE CLUTCH FLYWHEEL ASSEMBLY?WOULD IT BE LESS TROUBLE TO PUT 7.3 WITH AUTO TRANS IN PLACE OF 460 5 SPD?AND JUST CHANGE THE OUTPUT SHAFT ON TRANS?ANY INFO WOULD BE HELPFUL IN DECIDEING WHAT TO DO ....DOES ANY ONE HAVE A OUTPUT SHAFT THAT WOULD FIT?

gas and diesel have different transmissions. better off putting the whole engine/trans in it, also it would also be better to switch out the whole wiring harness and dash as well. the funny thing about your question is im doing the same swap right now.

the bolt pattern is different enough to not work, but i do have 2 ways to help you out. it will depend on which way you want to go. i have a zf 5speed 4wd transmission for the diesel that im going to sell. i also have a divorced np205 transfer case im going to sell too. you can either have a 5 speed or you can use the auto you have, and use the divorced transfer case behind it. since you have the ex-cab you will have plenty of room for a divorced mount transfer case. so, if your interested in either one just let me know.

the 5 speeds bellhousing is not removeable. its all made into one. one of fords better ideas. i dont have a flywheel that is any good, but your best bet is to buy a smf instead of the dmf. better setup
