I should probably also buy a new clutch while it’s apart even though it seems to have plenty of life left right
Ford, at least, did have them. I know that they were on the Windsor line of small blocks. The nose cone was different lengths. Not for the IDIs though. That`s a new one. Never heard of auto and manual Starters.
That would be the smartest thing to do.I should probably also buy a new clutch while it’s apart even though it seems to have plenty of life left right
Is the triple disk really necessary? A nice oem quality single disk is $650 triple disk is $1400
I agree with Nero here. If you're going to use your truck like this, then I don't see any need to go for the high dollar convertor. If you're going to be towing heavy every so often, then it would probably be a good upgrade. Think of it as insurance. You buy it just in case (the laws aside). Then if you ever need it, you'll be glad that you paid for it.If its any help with your debate, I used a regular single disk tq converter in my in laws pickup when I built it for them. They use it to haul an in bed camper around that weighs about 3400 lbs full and it does just fine. I told them to just turn off thr O/D when doing big hills. Their engine is 100% stock.
