So what did you do with your truck today?

Nah I did that because its fallen off on me before. Drove back and found it though so there's that.

    Expected boost

Due to budget constraints, I ordered a budget boost gauge, an Auto Meter for now. Someday I'll get an Isspro to replace it, but anything is better than a malfunctioning gauge for now.

So what did you do with your truck today?

Here ya go. Instead of using 6 bolts, this one uses 10, and has plates on both the frame and the hitch to really beef it up.

    Fixing RABS ground connection

Hah, crazy how one innocent looking wire causes so many people to say, f it I'm gonna delete the RABS. Glad you got yours working. I'm definitely a fan of keeping it, especially since its saved my bacon a few times.

    Fixing RABS ground connection

I don't think so. The few times mine have activated they just modulate releasing the rear brakes in a sliding event. So rapid on/off

    Project Stress Test

Knowing you, you've already checked it, but IP timing? When mine was set too advanced it had a loping idle and raw fuel smelling exhaust

So what did you do with your truck today?

I didnt include it in the photo, but it has stabilizer chains with turnbuckles to tension them to keep it straight. Its rated for 6000 lbs trailer/600lbs tongue weight Plus its an upgrade from the original hitch extension I had, which was just a single tube with no stabilizer chains. For now...

    Fixing RABS ground connection

Mine works lol The ground wire is either between the battery and the core support on the left, or on the right. Ive seen it in both places. On my 1990 it is behind thr drivers battery and the connector likes to come apart at times.

So what did you do with your truck today?

No I purchased the flange and down pipe from CDD, they were the only ones who could have it out fast enough for my timeframe I'm working with. My welding skills are definitely sub par, but they usually look way better when I have bottle of shielding gas, then I can at least make a decent one. I...

Got a link to the muffler you're using? For now I'm just straight piped, but have to have a backup plan in case the wife hates the noise...

    Expected boost

When I got my new exhaust on and went on my test drive, my boost gauge actually jumped up to 10psi, then went back down to zero and stayed there. Maybe I'm not building boost -Playme Nah its definitely a faulty gauge. I can hear the turbo spooling now that I am without muffler.

So what did you do with your truck today?

So far I like the sound of my idi straight piped. But I know under a load that could change. Why did you put a muffler on?

    EGT questions

I'm totally thrilled with where my power ended up, my overall goal was to up the power a little and make it as reliable as possibe and increase longevity. Talking with Justin this is the best build for that. Nobody ever talks about upgrading the exhaust though :idiot:

So what did you do with your truck today?

Got my exhaust all together. Definitely a lot more room in there now. Wish the flange wasn't so sharp, but it's not like my hand will be in there regularly. Also, I shouldn't be allowed to weld. My tig welder ran out of gas, so looks like poo but it's holding... For now. I hate welding...

    EGT questions

New exhaust is up, new down pipe and wastegate delete on. HOLY **** it's a whole different animal now No more hazy exhaust, just clear when getting onto it. No more power delay. You hit that go pedal, you're going... NOW. Did just one loop around my neighborhood, at idle, my EGT's are now...

    Someone go get it!!!

Ive seen people make them, I believe they used an extended cab frame, move the cc to it and then use a short box. Lots of work but possible.

So what did you do with your truck today?

Got most of my diamond exhaust mocked up and all the old exhaust out, looks like I need about 22" of extension and stepper from 4" to 3" outer diameter. Almost there...

    EGT questions

@GaryB these are at highway speeds, so just enough throttle to maintain speeds most of the time. Usually 1/4 to 1/2 depending on the grade. My sensor is also mounted straight on the exhaust manifold pre turbo.

Hot hot should my e4od run?

Bypass the radiator loop and doing just a cooler loop is common in hotter climates.

Hot hot should my e4od run?

155f seems about normal What size cooler are you running? Its common to upgrade them, one from a 6.0 ford is a good upgrade. I put one on my in laws truck, the transmission builder wouldn't honor the warranty unless a bigger cooler was put on. The 6.0 one is easily more than double in size as...

So what did you do with your truck today?

So my new down pipe and wastegate delete flange came in. Spent about 2 hours pulling the old down pipe and wastegate housing off, then trying to sneak in the new down pipe. Fun fact, if you leave the turbo adapter off, you have just enough room for it to drop in from the top, then you bolt the...
